Hello all,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, the mobile and internet service is really tough here.

Regardless, I'm having an amazing time.  Cairns was a tropical paradise, the humidity was intense. The first day I visited some Kangaroos and Koalas, which was somewhat touristy, but awesome.  I then woke up the next day, flew up 14,000 feet and jumped out of a plan.  One of the most intense feelings and experiences of my life.  The next few days were spent pub crawling, the bars here are huge and especially expensive, but the beer is tasty. No fosters... I went snorkiling and then dove the great barrier reef my last day which is everything you hear and could imagine, expect that I coughed up blood on my way out (my ears are terrible from the flights, skydiving, and diving) . The best part about Cairns though is this boardwalk that runs along the coast.  Everyone is out and active, it seems that the Australian culture really embraces enjoying life, not just work.  After 4oclock you can find everyone running, playing in the waterpark, working out at the stations, beach vball, countless activities. It ends with an infinity pool into the ocean, surrounded by lush green mountains. I don't know many community centers better.

Sydney is beautiful.  One of the most gorgeous cities, it is clean, not overly packed, and surrounded with parks.  We went running through the city last night, about an 10k total run, and stumbled upon the Opera House.  All of a sudden it literally popped its head up and my friend and I will never forget how elated we were.  It is a feeling I cannot describe, just pure joy.  It was overwhelming and a triumph of some sorts, I finally felt like I had made it.  To top it off we were basically exploring and it was at night, majestically lit up.  Thank you to my parents and family, who helped to send me, I love you all and cannot ever convey how much I appreciate your willingness to support me. We pulled away from the bridge and Opera House and jogged on home to the gothic campus.  The city smells of flowers.  What other city has that?

I'll hopefully post again soon, till then, take care
